Artistic creativity

Avraham avinu

The walls of the yeshivot are empty and anonymous spaces and increasingly filled with drawings, filled with characters, creative forms and bright colors:

this symptom attests the growth awareness in the world of Judaism's religious strong power of persuasion that the different artistic languages have on the world of boys. Many today are the rabbis that believe that artistic creativity is one of the most effective educational tools to transmit those values dear to our religious and national tradition, and which constitute the historical and spiritual legacy that we hand over to new generations.

D' disse ad Avraham: "Lek Leka, Vai verso te stesso"

The basic values of the Torah are common to both religious and secular Judaism as the Torah is not only the sacred books of our religion, but also the history of Israel as a people, a story that continues.

The Torah is a story already written by its author, but which has yet to be fully staged, is a story that has yet to be fulfilled, and that is accomplished little by little.

Il passaggio dello Yabok

The return to Zion is the continuation of this ancient story, the latest result of that history began with Avraham (our Patriarch Abraham).

Our history of the last 100 years is already contained in these ancient writings, and from many Jews is seen as the of the historical and material fulfillment of the words of our prophets. In this context it should be seen that the association between biblical figures and personalities of our current national and cultural identity.

Exodus

The ship Exodus has become the emblem of each Alya, the return from exile of every jew in the land of their fathers. In this “cartoon” representation made in a large yeshiva, we find on board the legendary ship Exodus all types of Jews who now inhabit the Land of Israel: we can see the Ultra orthodox jew together with the secular intellectual, the religious Zionist with his middle-class wife, next to Kibbutzinikì and the Sephardic Jew.

This picture expresses in synthesis the pluralistic identity of Israel. Every jew with its particularities and specificity is a valuable piece of that one colorful mosaic that is Israel, a people with a thousand faces and a thousand colors.
