Madonna and the kabbalah
Since I live in Israel often people ask me, with great discretion, what I think about the fact that Madonna studies the Kabbalah ... so I decided to make public my opinion about it, although I am aware that I will make enemies, but at the same time, I may even make some new friends.
I have thus chosen to address this issue, otherwise undermine the seriousness of my site in the eyes of some, because I am convinced that this strange phenomenon should not be overlooked, but deserves a deeper attention.
MADONNA PHENOMENON
First: What is behind the phenomenon of "Madonna"?
There were many attempts to read this generational phenomenon. In the United States increases the thesis that attempt to analyze and define the "case-Madonna" ... we speak often about Madonna as the product of calculated marketing strategies, although we are not able to explain how those same techniques used against other stars has a fleeting effect that disappears within a few years, while in the case of Madonna defied the time record of a quarter of a century! Madonna from 25 years continues to impose fashions, customs, ways of thinking.
In the opinion of many experts, her singing and artistic talents are questionable, and its physical characteristics do not correspond at all to the aesthetic currently in vogue.
So as a poor girl, from the lower class, without resources, without strong artistic talent, without a particular natural beauty could conquer the world?
Perhaps you admire or envy her because we feel her like "one of us," one of the few among us to be "successful" to embody our desires, to have the courage to make reality the dream of all of us...
Whatever one thinks, one thing is indisputable: in the generations to come, when scholars, historians and sociologists will study the era we are living, they will analyze the 'symbol-Madonna, "as the icon that depicts the quality and defects.
Madonna, in a sense, represents our era in all its contradictions. You love or hate her passionately, but she never leaves us indifferent.
Whatever she does, good or bad it may be, she shocks, she disturbs, she raises storm of controversy and endless criticism. I any other beautiful woman doing the same things she does, she would remain "anonymous." There are famous women much more beautiful and talented than her. There are also much more vulgar and immodest women than her who leave the public completely indifferent. While any act done by her causes strong feelings, ferocious oppositions or delirious emulation.
THE PHENOMENON OF MADONNA IN THE LIGHT OF Kabbalah
Some sociologists see in the phenomenon of stardom as a form of true worship: as the faithful of a religion of worship to their gods, saints and heroes, so the fans of a star makes a kind of cult to their star (note the similarity between the star and the divine word: in fact the star is adored as a true idol). A jew must always discern between good and evil, and save the little piece of good that there is also in the evil, always putting stress in the positive aspect that there is in everything.
If a historic phenomenon as Madonna claims to have found the answers to all her questions about the Jewish mysticism, involving many other stars, and that crazy ocean of fans who mimic every of her gesture, we can truly say that the Torah is really the Light of the Nations and its light beam is revealing in all its glory.
THE KABBALAH CENTER OF RAV BERG
In Israel the Kabbalah Center is often poorly seen (mainly because of some scandals involving some of its members), Rav Berg, stoned with harsh words, is often defined as the Guru of a dangerous sect. Here in Jerusalem, the center has had its life short, often empty, with serious difficulties in reaching the minian (a minimum of ten Jewish men) for the prayers of the Shabbat, it was closed a year ago. The opposition of the ultra-Jewish world to the work of Berg is very hard. What is particularly harshly criticized is the consumerist aspect of its center,and the fact he brought the Zohar, the holy book of tradition kabballistica within the impure and corrupt world of Hollywood.

At this point I would make a personal reflection:
although certain « commercial » aspects of the center can be legitimately called into question, and I understand the opposition of the rabbis, however, I strongly support that in the name of higher values of Judaism, it is prohibited to throw in the trash because there is also good for very least it can be!
Initially I had some doubts too, then I read some books by Rav Berg and I was fascinated. I am sure that most of his opponents do not have a clue of what he writes, the message he spreads. I personally believe that this rabbi, as well as being a wise man, he is a very enlightened man, he has some brilliant insights that I think very good for the time in which we live in. I am convinced that, despite everything, his real purpose is that he wants to improve the world by improving the man.
The heart of his entire kabballistic message (Kabbalah means "reception", "receive") is that we are vessels that can transform a desire to receive for ourselves in the ability to give love. History teaches us that those who now consider as the greatest masters of spirituality, often during their lives were persecuted and banned from their contemporaries. Perhaps it is premature for our generation to understand the meaning of the teaching of Rav Berg.
His work in the factory of the star, the world of fiction for excellence, create a new equilibrium ... obeying to certain criteria dear to Hassidism (the dissemination of the secrets of the Kabbalah): the task of the jew is to turn the world in search of sparks of light remaining trapped in darkness to stane, release and redeem them. And what place in the world is darker, more false and more devoid of light and spirituality than Hollywood?

According to the Hassidut at the approach of the Messianic era the kaballistic secrets, which previously were exclusive knowledge of a few initiates, are distributed and disseminated even among the simple people. Dissemination and popularisation of the Kabbalah is not just a passing trend, but an unstoppable and irreversible process that will bring great benefits to humanity thirsting for Light. Premising that the highest secrets sublime of the Kabbalah still remain the exclusive property of a few initiates, the media coverage of basic concepts of Kabbalah is another sign that shows that we really entered in the messianic.
PERSONAL NOTES ...
Although I do not agree with everything she does, I must confess that I have always had a soft spot for Madonna.
I often say: "Maddy ... this time you're just exaggerating!"
Or when I see that her studies of kabbalah does not prevent her from sending still immodest messages, I say: "Meddy, you're really incorrigible! Nor even the study of the Kabbalah has managed to keep her head. "
Yet to her all is forgiven ...
However, if through the Kabbalah Madonna has become a better woman, the bearer of a better message, we can say that she had already "improved the world" ...
Today, Madonna, deeply transformed by the experience of motherhood and the study of the Kabbalah, she decides to want to change the world, spreading a universal message of love, dragging the crowds of her followers in the struggle for peace, personally investing in colossal social enterprises.

To change the world, Madonna has decided to go to the babies the fruit of her experience of life. I think the secret of her continued success is all in her inner strength.
When I was young people asked me: "But what are those silly pop songs?", I answered: "They give me the joy of living."
I was convinced that those pop songs sung by any other performer, even more talented than her, would have been as "dull", because the energy that they emanates comes from her inner strength. Madonna certainly has a charismatic personality that comes from within. I was certain that Madonna was, despite all, a special woman, a woman fully human.
When, in her provocative documentary film "In bed with Madonna", I saw her praying G-d keeping the hands close to his dancers in a circle at the beginning of her concerts, I understood that she had a relationship of particular intimacy with G-d, I had no longer any doubt that her spiritual quest was genuine. Since then I prayed hard for her, so with her power of persuasion she could bring back in the right path many people, also because of her, have embarked on misguided ways that obscure the inner light of soul created in the image and likeness of G-d. I know that on of my dearest friend, a Jew, when she was a child, she prayed with all her forces G-D, for Madonna to become Jewish ...
I do not know what to think about, but the fact that Madonna has changed her name to Esther, she studies the Kabbalah, she reads the Hebrew prayers, she comes on pilgrimage to Israel to pray in the holy sites of Judaism and the tombs of tzadikim perhaps without her knowledge, it must be in part because of the love and the prayers of so many of her young admirers.
When asked why she had aspired to success, said:
"Because I wanted to be loved."
And this is what she got : now that love inspires a beneficial chain reaction ...

There is always someone who makes "dramatic", but are just people who need attention.
When she speaks of herself she defines her very "Italian":
"I speak with my hands, I cry a lot, I am passionate, I have a bad character and I like nice shoes ... Just like a real Italian woman."
Her future plans are "to make an incredible film, to raise my children, to continue life with my husband and my friends. Life is a permanent construction site, is one challenge after another"
She said that among the many things she had dreamed of doing in life, she never would have thought of writing books for children. Why did you decided to write a series of books for children? And why now?
For two reasons: I have two children who are a huge source of inspiration for me and I started my own spiritual path, learning many things, including the importance of sharing and the desire to enlighten others. Children are open and expansive in nature, so I wanted to start sharing with them, first, what I learned.
There is a common theme among her five books?
Each book deals with some issues that every child is faced with: Uncertainty
Jealousy / Envy
Overcoming obstacles
Learn not to judge others
The force of the words
I hope that children can draw a lesson from each book that will help them to turn any painful or distressing situation into a learning opportunity. »

What is the most important lesson that kids today have to learn about life, love and the pursuit of happiness?
The most important lesson for kids is that our souls are all connected and that we must learn to love and take care of our neighbor, in any event. That our thoughts, our words and actions truly affect those around us. That the idea of changing the world is born from a thought. That love conquers everything. "
During a concert in Italy, she screams to the delirious crowd:
