KIPPA' and KABBALAH

The Kippà is the conventional skullcap that religious Jews wear as a sign of respect to the Most High.

The Kippà placed on the head is a kind of separation between the jew that wears it and the sky that is above him, a place where symbolically "stays" the Creator: it has the function of a sign outside which should remind him at every moment of the day that he, man, is "below" the One who sees all, a sign that should stimulate to adopt an appropriate behavior to his own conscience in all circumstances.

The Kippà, however, in the Jewish world is not only a sign of pious devotion, it has a real social-political role, especially in Israel: the Kippà is the first distinguishing feature of the jew, it is his first real public identity card... "tell me which Kippà do you wear and I'll tell you who you are!"

It is possible to identify which group you belong to or your religious ideology from the kind of your kippà.

KIPPOSEFIROT

We propose here a kind of virtual game: we have the image of some classical models of caps and kippot according to sefirotic diagram. By clicking on a Kippà the window will open corresponding religious group.

Please note that the fact that we had collocated a Kippà / movement to a sefirà is purely indicative and symbolic: far from our intentions to "delimit", "fill", "enclose" a form of expression of Judaism to a single and unique aspect! We do not want in any way to attach labels, as every reality is complex and unique in itself.

During the game, the tweezers will indicate the Kippà referred to the text alongside.
